This is the best straigthener ever made. I have frizzy hair that is unmanagebale until my Alterna Hemp with Organics Straightening Balm is applied. I squeeze out about a dime size amount and run it through towel dried hair. It straightens without weighing down my hair, reduces friz, and smells good too.

Funny as this may seem, I dont use the straightening balm to straighten my hair. I usually wear my hair curly and this product creates such a nice, bouncy, shiny, and soft curl.
It leaves no residue, it's not sticky, and it truly is resistant to humidity. A little goes a long way and the tube can last for months (and I have long curly hair).
I am not sure if it works as a pre-blowout styling agent, but it is a perfect product for curly hair-or at least my curly hair (big curls).
