Product Information   This Mason Pearson Handy size brush has 6 rings of tufts of pure boar bristle. This pure bristle Mason Pearson brush is best suited for fine to normal hair of short to medium-long length.  The brush is 8 1/2" long x 2 1/2" wide.  Generally used for fine to normal hair.  Includes cleaning brush. Developed in 1885, the Mason Pearson line is world renowned for making hair brushes and combs of the highest quality. Each brush and comb is hand-crafted and polished to perfection. The cellulose plastic handle on all Mason Pearson brushes are hand-polished resulting in extremely smooth edges that make them comfortable and easy to hold, and bristles and teeth that won't tug or pull at the hair. Each brush has a unique convex rubber-cushion pad that is made by hand using Mason Pearson’s original techniques that allows for effective and efficient brushing. Mason Pearson brushes are made with the finest materials available so that, with a little care, they should last for many years. By varying the head size and bristle materials, Mason Pearson offers a range of models to provide optimal care for each type and length of hair. Selecting a Mason Pearson Brush: Boar Bristle Tufts: Generally used for fine to normal hair. Models: Large Extra B1 - 8 rings of extra stiff bristle tufts, Small Extra B2 - 7 rings of extra stiff bristle tufts, Handy Bristle B3 - 6 rings of stiff bristle tufts, and Pocket Bristle B4 - 5 rings of bristle tufts. Boar Bristle & Nylon Tufts: Generally used for normal to thick hair. Models: Popular BN1 - 8 rings of bristle & nylon tufts, Junior BN2 - 7 rings of bristle & nylon tufts, Handy Bristle & Nylon BN3 - 6 rings of bristle & nylon tufts,  and Pocket Bristle & Nylon BN4 - 5 rings of bristle & nylon tufts. Nylon Tufts: Generally used for thick hair. Models: Handy Nylon N3 - 6 rings of nylon tufts.and Pocket Nylon N4 - 5 rings of nylon tufts. Long Hair: In general, the longer the hair the bigger the brush required. However, if a person is more comfortable with a smaller brush, it may be necessary to use a smaller mixture model instead of a larger pure bristle one.
