One Swipe With One Wipe

After the evening festivities are over and the makeup has to come off, the last thing that I want to do is wait for the water to get warm and wash my face. Luckily I have discovered Comodynes Original Cleansing Towelettes. The moist towelettes are specifically designed to remove makeup, tone skin, and moisturize. How can one 8 x 8 towelette do all that? I don't know the science behind it, all I know is that these wipes rock.

I'm a makeup lover. I wear foundation, concealer, waterproof mascara, blush, eye shadow, lipstick, and liner - the works. A single wipe is all I need to remove it all. That's right; one swipe with one wipe and my skin is instantly cleaned, toned and refreshed. It's that simple.

Comodynes Towelettes come in convenient resealable 20 towel carry packs. Perfect for traveling and weekend getaways. They are also hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested and recommended for use on all skin types. I love that I no longer have to wash my face with soap and water and can remove my makeup with ease all while cleansing, moisturizing and toning my skin.

Simply Delicious

Don't you just love the scent of buttercream frosting? It has always been a favorite of mine. Can you imagine a big gorgeous cake decorated in white icing with rainbow sprinkles? All I want to do is dip my finger in and indulge. But I'm a grown woman and will save the finger dipping opportunity for the little girls out there. Thankfully I have found Jaqua Beauty Buttercream Frosting Sinfully Rich Body Butter as an alternative.

First off, the buttercream smells so real (and so good!) that I could literally eat it out of the jar. It actually looks like real frosting! The Ultra-hydrating formula with shea butter goes on light and is not greasy. A little really goes a long way. And the best is that the scent lasts all day. Secondly, Jaqua Body Butter is packaged in the cutest little gift box with a bow. I have given this as a gift many times over the years and it has become my go to gift again this season. It makes a perfect gift for a teacher, friend, neighbor or boss.

This holiday season, give the gift of Jaqua Body Butter in Buttercream Frosting. I promise you, you will not go wrong.

A Gift for the Hostess

Holiday party season has begun. There are places to go, people to see and presents to give. When going to someone else's house, you certainly can't arrive empty handed. The standard bottle of wine or a bunch of flowers are always welcome, but why not try to be a little more creative? Step outside the box. And get your hostess a gift that she can use and cherish. Let me tell you about Votivo ladies.

Votivo makes fabulously scented candles that allow you to experience the scent of glorious clover, gingersnap, pear, crème brule (yum!), grapefruit (to name a few) throughout your house for up to 60 hours. Each Votivo candle is beautifully boxed with a paper core wick in warm, rich scents.

What I love most about Votivo is that they didn't just stop with candles. They also make Votivo Aromatic Reed Diffusers that will fill your home with a lingering bouquet of the finest fragrance oils. My ultimate favorite is the Votivo Aromatic Reed Diffuser Red Currant. The fragrance is spectacular and long lasting. Picture if you will, a savory blend of tart red currants and golden fruit glaze ladled over coarsely ground vanilla bean ice cream and served along side of raspberry filled sugar cookies? Need I say more?

Now if candles or reed diffusers aren't your thing, I'm sure your hostess with the mostess will love Votivo Aromatic Moisturizing Hand Soap, Votivo Aromatic Moisturizing Lotion or Votivo Aromatic Room Mist --- all three are available in Red Currant. Your hostess (and whoever else is on your list this year) will love you for it.

The Economy Goes Down & Lipstick Sales Rise

In these hard economic times, we've all had to rethink our spending habits. You may be putting off some of those big ticket purchases or cut off all non-essential purchases all together. What I have discovered is that instead of buying the handbag that will be out next year, I go for lipstick instead. Economists state that cosmetic sales go up when the economy goes down. And why not? We all need something that makes us feel better. Woman need to boost their mood with inexpensive products like lipstick instead of the $300 pair of shoes. Lipstick does it for me ladies.
Right now, I have two favorites. Kevyn Aucoin The Expert Lip Tint Poppia: True Red and Paula Dorf Lip Color Sheer Tint With SPF15 Spunky. I am never without either one.

Kevyn Aucoin Poppia is an awesome redish color with a unique formula that tints your lips with color and also provides full coverage without appearing too thick. Color glides on easily, and is super moisturizing.

Paula Dorf Spunky is a sheer pinkish red that hydrates and conditions with SPF 15. It adds just the right amount of color to my lips without looking cakey or dry. It goes on smooth and silky and leaves my lips supple. You can put on a little or a lot so you can go from day to night. I also love that it hydrates and conditions my lips with SPF 15.

I know there are millions of other lipsticks out there. But I wanted to share my favs with you. You know how you feel once you find a good lipstick. It makes you feel confident and feminine. Plus, if it looks good on you this year, it will certainly look good on you next year too. That's economic security and a great investment in you.
