What Is A Dry Shampoo?

Since there's lots of talk in the salon world about dry shampoos, I decided I needed to find out what the excitement is all about. Basically a dry shampoo is a waterless way to freshen and restyle your hair when you can't indulge in a regular shampoo and blow out. Sometimes we all run out of time or sleep in too late or are on the go, go, go, right ladies?
You spray your hair with dry shampoo and it is supposed to absorb the oil and refresh your look. Leave in for 2 minutes and pat gently with towel and comb. To finish the cleaning process, you comb the product out.
I tried Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo and it did the job. The clay and silica powders work to absorb the oils that build up on your hair. I noticed that the day's oil was easily absorbed and it smelled pretty good too. I usually have to wash my hair daily to prevent oil buildup but I think I will give the dry shampoo a chance more frequently. It’s also good for color treated hair because it will help reduce the amount of color lost due to frequent shampooing. I think this is a great product to use in a pinch or if you want to spruce up your look at the end of the day.
